Dare to Be the Difference
I’ve been thinking about inspiration a lot lately. The endless snow of the past few weeks sometimes seems to have blanketed my mind and momentum as well as the world outside. When blankness threatens to settle over me, I look for a reminder that even a small something can change everything.

This quote, attributed to Confucious, surely begat the oft-repeated assertion that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Conrad Hall, Oscar-winning cinematographer of 1999’s American Beauty (and many other films), sought, beheld and captured beauty for a living. He’s well-known for opining, “There is a kind of beauty in imperfection.”*
I like the idea of beautiful imperfection. . . For none of us is perfect, but surely each of us is beautiful in our own way, even if no one else can see it.
